Appointment of Dr. Lars Löwenstein as Honorary Professor at IEM

During the event for the Day of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology on 18.11.2022, Dr. Lars Löwenstein was appointed honorary professor at the Institute of Electrical Machines.
The award recognizes his commitment to the development of chassis for rail vehicles with fully integrated direct drive and electrodynamic braking as well as his contributions to the decarbonization of rail transport. Dr. Löwenstein has been working in the field of rail vehicle development at Siemens for about 20 years and has already been holding the annual block lecture "Electric Railway Systems" at the IEM since 2012.
