Magnetic Levitating Train
The fascination for technology bases on its plasticity. To encourage the interest for electrical engineering, a small scale magnetically levitated train is constructed as demonstrator for information events for pupils, students and visitors.
To provide a playful incentive, the levitation train is designed on a scale of circa 1:50 to common trains. The maglev train is designed and built by student projects and will be used for student laboratories as well. Until now the magnetic levitation system and the direct drive are put into operation.
The further development focuses on the replacement of the rapid control prototyping environment for the control and power electronics with a self-developed microcontroller environment.
