APart of the research at IEM is concerned with the development of ropeless elevator system for very high buildings. Ropeless elevators are driven by linear motors, controlled by employing electro mechanical actuators. In this work, a combination of an E- and U- shaped actuator is designed. For a comfortable drive without failure, a control system is developed. This uses methods of state control. Then a contactless energy transfer system based on the principle of inductive power transfer was designed for an efficient energy supply of the elevator’s cabin without drum cables and sliding contacts.
