Simulation of Electrical Machines Considering Cut Edge Effects
Shaping steps during the processing of electrical steel sheets deteriorate the magnetic material properties. Depending on the cutting process and the process parameters, different local material properties and loss distributions result. Therefore, a continuous model, taking into account the local material properties at the cut surface in the FE simulation, is developed and implemented. Subsequently, the influence of material processing is examined and evaluated.
