Study of manufacturing tolerances at permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM)

Parasitic effects are unwanted effects which appear at electrical machines. Variationsfrom the ideal machine caused by the manufacturing process have a strong influence on these parasitic effects. Within this study, the influence of a rotor tilt of a PMSM on cogging torque, load torque, global and radial forces is determined. The influence of magnetization faults on the cogging torque is studied. Hence, failure constellations are detected which influence the cogging torque critically.
