Increase of energy efficiency by utilization of residual stress in electrical steel
The objective of the DFG program Targeted use of residual stress in electrical steel sheets to increase energy efficiency is the use of residual stress for the targeted guidance of the magnetic flux. With the utg and MLZ of the Technical University of Munich, the embossing of electrical steel sheets for targeted flux guidance is studied. In this way, geometric flux barriers can be replaced by embossed barriers, whereby a magnetic flux guidance is achieved without mechanical weakening of the material.
